Be A Man Like Mulan :)

 

Found this pencil box in my room right after I finished watching Mulan on TV. Coincidint?

I bet everyone recognize that girl on the pencil box pretty darn easily, don't you?

I've never watched Mulan so closely, and paying to details that I have never noticed ever before.

Mulan was playing on Disney Channel in Taiwan this afternoon. Even thought I've watched it countless times( maybe not as much as I've watched High School Musical, well, that's another story), I still love the movie. I guess it was the first Disney Princess Movie I've ever watched(or maybe it was Cinderilla or Sleeping Beauty, anyways). Today, I decided to watch it closely to details. I've notice some really good lessons, and I thought the movie matched perfectly to the spirit of ANTS.

In case you never watched Mulan before(shame on you :P), but if you have, you can directly skip to the next paragraph! :) the story is bascially the main character,Mulan, joined the army for her father. In the army, she had to pretend she is a man, or else she would be killed. She got used to the surroundings pretty darn fast, I say. ( She was probably even more like a man than other men in the army, anyways). The army went into a fight with the Hans, and it was because of Mulan, so that the army was able to defeat(not) the Hans. The Hans rise back again, and went into the city. Here's that again, the wisdom of Mulan saved China.

I think I knew why I love Mulan before, probably it's just because the voice of Mulan in Chinese is from my favorite singer in my younger ages called Co Co Lee <3. But, I now realized, that was not the main reason why. I grew up seeking for world peace( hope that is everyone's dream as well :)) I love Mulan because she saved China, and gave peace to the country. The real reason, though, I think I love Mulan because she is a woman, a woman who SPEAKS HER MIND. I tell you, ever since I read the US History book in my seventh grade History Class about Martin Luther King Jr.'s "I Have a Dream", I pretty much fall in love with the idea of everyone's equal, no racism, no sexist, none of that discrimination is acceptable even till modern days. I LOVE how Mulan had showed people that WOMEN CAN SPEAK THEIR OWN MIND AS LOUD AS MEN.

Who knew that it is because of Mulan's wisdom that the army was able to defeat the Hans? They probably saw ONLY the men. Mulan proved it, WOMEN ARE CAPABLE OF FIGHTING, SOMETIMES EVEN BETTER THAN MEN. THAT IS THE SPIRIT OF ANTS RIGHT THERE!!!

I guess I'll go to other details that I noticed just today from the story, but keep in mind the spirit of ANTS from the moive Mulan. DO NOT BE AFRAID TO SPEAK YOUR OWN MIND, MAYBE YOU ARE THE ONE WHO IS RIGHT, AND MAYBE YOU COULD DO BETTER THAN OTHERS!! :)

As for song of the day, I guess I will share a song from the moive. It's been in my head on and on pretty much everyday since my brother and I had a little fun singing the song in our car with the strong man voice, and of course the spirit of ANTS.

You would probably get very passionated after you heard the song, and be very strong. :)
